I am passionate about data-driven insights.
I discovered throughout my studies in Psychology that I am passionate about using data in order to drive informed decision-making, and decided to further pursue courses and projects which align with my aspirations to become a Data Analyst. During my studies, I gained hands-on experience working with complex datasets, cleaning and transforming data, and developing statistical models. I am particularly drawn to the challenge of applying my statistical knowledge by using regression and/or machine learning models to predict outcomes and identify patterns within data.
I have extensive experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including advanced functions (IFs, Match, Index, VLOOKUP, etc) as well as Pivot Tables, Power Query, Macros, Visual Basic, and more. I am also proficient in using R to manipulate and analyze data. I have experience using SQL to manipulate and join datasets, and am progressing my ability daily.
Also, I have a special interest in Data Visualization, and am passionate about learning visual design techniques in order to create visualizations and dashboards which effectively communicate insights to a wide range of audiences. I am comfortable using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and R, in order to create visualizations.
I am a self-starter with a strong desire to further develop my skills.
I am committed to learning more and I am not afraid of a challenge. I am seeking opportunities which allow me to continually grow as a Data Analyst, and to apply my problem-solving skills to tackle tough business problems. I believe that continuous learning is crucial to becoming a successful data analyst. Therefore, I am committed to further developing my skills in this field and am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead!
